Kathmandu Durbar Square
When in Kathmandu, don’t forget to pay a visit to Kathmandu Durbar Square, a World Heritage Site surrounded by historic buildings. Although the square has suffered extensive damage in the 2015 earthquake, many of the buildings remain standing and some will undergo refurbishments. Enjoy the traditional Nepalese architecture of the spacious square and get a feel for the Kathmandu city atmosphere. Admire the house of the Kumari, left unscathed in the earthquake, where the virgin goddess lives until reaching puberty. If you’re lucky, you may catch a glimpse of her passing by a window. By using our Kathmandu driving holiday planning app, you can arrange your visit to Kathmandu Durbar Square and other attractions in Kathmandu.

Interesting, but still so much earthquake damage that has not been attended to after 7 years. Seeing the living goddess was amazing.

I liked this place so much. The palace and overall historical landmarks. The foods were amazing. This place is famous for its "lassi" so do try it. Its aesthetic night light is also amazing. If you are searching for an amazing place, this is the must go to.

The place is known to be the antique from ancestors which has been taken care with grace and love from the people now. It's wonderfully made; if you have vision to see the detail of the art. The wood carvings, structure, geometry of the whole temple and the astonishing vibe there; it not just a place but a life itself.
