Today a family-entertainment complex, the collection of colorful rustic buildings that make up Popeye Village Malta served as the set for the Walt Disney feature film "Popeye" (1980), starring Robin Williams. The coastal village, consisting of 19 wooden buildings, took a crew of 165 over seven months to construct. Explore the town where the sailor searched for his long lost father, watch clips of the movie at the on-site theater, and take in a live performance with some of the Popeye series' best-loved characters. Visitors can take a boat trip around scenic Anchor Bay, weather permitting. Adults can visit the winery to claim a complimentary glass of wine. Great! I loved this place... The facilities are nice, it is a relaxing and an ideal place for families. The beach is probably the best I visited in Malta despite the fact there is no seashore (very small). They usually prepare activities for fun, like games and competitions in the sea. There are also nice beds with umbrellas where you can sit, relax and0 sunbathe. Very scenic... The colour of the sea is gorgeous... There is a swimming-pool with a park but it is mainly for children/toddlers. It can be a noisy place at time, due to the activities and because they also play some music... There is a Popeye show, which I think is OK but it could improve. In general... I would definitely recommend visiting this place!

Robin Williams film from 1980. The set was built in Malta and today it is a tourist attraction. 15 euros entrance fee. Fetch some Id for track and trace else they just wave you in. I enjoyed the visit here. It's a quirky little village with lots of buildings to explore from the film. Also, swimming and a kid's pool has been added along with sunbeds by the sea. Characters dressed as Popeye and Olive greet you and also put on a little show. I would recommend a visit. Going to go home and find the film to watch.
