Mellieha Parish Church, Mellieha

At Mellieha Parish Church, admire the architecture and location, hear more about the story behind its creation, or pray in a peaceful setting. The church was built between 1881 and 1898 by the local peasants, who dreamed of a new church to grace their town. They took stone from a local quarry and transported it all themselves. During the period of 1920 to 1940, the interior was improved and a dome and many belfries were added. The small church sits on a hill overlooking Mellieha Bay and offers great views any time of day.
