St Mark's Campanile
Overlooking the city's famous lagoon, St Mark's Campanile is one of the Venice's most recognizable symbols. Originally constructed as a lighthouse, this 99 m (323 ft) tall bell tower stands alone in one corner of St. Mark's Square. The tower's simple form has a fluted brick shaft topped by a belfry housing five bells. A pyramidal spire with a golden weathervane in the form of the archangel Gabriel caps the tower. Constructed in the ninth century on ancient Roman foundations, the bell tower underwent a massive reconstruction after a sudden collapse in 1902. Once the site of Galileo's observatory, the tower now features an elevator for easy access to the top and views of the lagoon and distant Alps. This is an easy visit. An elevator takes you up and down the tower. Once on top, you can stay as long as you like. Incredible 360 degree views of Venice and the surrounding area.

Came here last week with my partner. I had booked skip the line tickets in advance which certainly saved us queuing in the intense heat to get in, but we still did have to queue to come back down...

It has a fantastic view. The entrance is mandatory with the mas and it needs to check for safety reasons by the security. Going to the rooftop by elevator and enjoying the spectacular view. This is all. It's up to you if it is worth 10 💶 euro just for the view.

Amazing 360 views across Venice! We got lucky and went when it was quiet (March) but can only imagine the ques for this in peak season. You can spend as little or as long as you like when you reach the top. Recommended!
