Garden of Remembrance
Find a quiet place to sit and reflect at Garden of Remembrance, a garden designed by Daithi Hanly and a memorial dedicated to the lives lost for the cause of Irish freedom. Look for the sunken water feature in the shape of a cross, as well as the memorial's focal point, a statue called "Children of Lir" by Oisin Kelly. Queen Elizabeth II visited in 2011 and laid a wreath here. Plan to visit Garden of Remembrance during your Dublin vacation using our convenient Dublin trip maker tool.

It is a small area with plenty of benches where you can have a rest. The fountains were emptied when we stopped by and that allowed us to see the mosaics fully. The statue is the central decoration.

Really nice memorial garden that is well maintained. Sits in the grounds of St. Patricks Church on Harbour Road. The memorial is easy to find on the right hand side of the grounds. Peaceful.

There are several rows of seating set between rows of planted flowers for people who want to stop and have a quiet moment to think in bit of privacy It’s very close to the writers museum and the flowers are well tended to. The sculpture is much larger than it looks so it’s worth walking through the exhibit to see it up close and personal. I took this photo with the sculpture behind me and looking back toward the memorial. The whole space is thoughtful, if you look into the water, there are murals in tile under the wreaths of flowers.

A beautiful park with the statue of The children of Lear. In memory of Ireland's fallen heroes past and present. Only thing i will say is its hardly open. Well worth a visit
