Cobh Heritage Centre The Queenstown Story
At Cobh Heritage Centre The Queenstown Story, you can learn about Irish history and daily life during the 18th and 19th centuries. The Queenstown Experience features exhibits about Irish history, including emigration, the Great Irish Famine, and the RMS Titanic. The Titanic's final stop was in Cobh, which was formerly called Queenstown. Once you have finished touring the museum, relax at the cafe or browse one of the two gift shops. The museum is attached to the Cobh railway station and is a favorite stop for cruise ship visitors. It was a very entertaining visit for me. They had live music on - a choir. It was a bit difficult to listen to the thing on exhibition though. There was also smell of cabbage coming from the kitchen. I guess it only adds to the environment of Irish culture. The on-street parking was free everywhere in town in April 2022.

I had low expectations, but was wonderfully surprised on the curating and interaction of this museum. Lots to learn about life in Ireland as well as the Titanic sinking and the Lusitania sinking. If you have time in Cobv and like museums, this is a good one to visit!
