Create an itinerary including Old Venetian Harbour of Rethymno
The beating heart of Chania, Old Venetian Harbour of Rethymno was once an important port. The Venetian shipyards still stand, but today they're home to hip restaurants and bars constructed to follow the curve of the harbor. The wide pathways around the harbor provide room for the crowds of visitors that come for romantic strolls near the water. A small mosque in the center hosts traveling vendors offering traditionally made handicrafts. Consider a stay at one of the many hotels with a view of the sea. • It is really beautiful with a bay clear as day full of fish! We went to a lovely restaurant the 7 brothers. The only thing I. Didn't like so much is to push people on to your terrace. I understand...

  • Some lovely views etc, mostly restaurants and shops. Some of the restaurants are a bit "grabby" particularly round the old harbour area. Castle was closed when I was there. But looks well worth the walk. View were lovely from there.
  • Perfect location for a juice holiday. The harbour contains a number of bars and restaurants to choose from. Whilst these are good (for fish etc), I generally prefer to go into the town itself for food and other views. It has the added bonus of good views, being within walking distance of the fort and has plenty of choice for coffee etc.
