The company was founded in 1991, under the name SIGALAS WINERY Ltd. The winery was initially located in the traditional canava of the Sigalas family. In 1998, a new production, bottling and aging facility was constructed, located in a privately owned area. Since then, and after continuous investment in modernization and expansion of the facilities,

the company has a processing and bottling production capacity of 300,000 bottles annually.

2003 was a milestone, since the shareholders of the company were increased, with the participation of Mr. Alexander Avataggelos, resulting in the increase of the financial capacity of the company. This is also the year when the company was renamed as DOMAINE SIGALAS S.A.

The wines are exported to Germany, France, Belgium, Austria, Holland, England, Cyprus, Switzerland, Poland, Japan, Hong-Kong, Sweden, United Arab Emirates (Dubai), Russia, USA and Canada.

Today, DOMAINE SIGALAS continues to implement its growth plan, based on the three principles on which it was created: a creative relationship with the traditions of the island of Santorini, technical savvy and quality.

  • We did the evening (1800h) 'Volanoe' tasting, having pre-booked online. Graced with good weather - clear and warm - though windy...apparently 'windy' is the norm! A really great experience; lovely...

  • My husband and I came here for the wine tasting and food pairing. We are still getting into wine so we cannot give an accurate review. We believe the wine was good and the food was surprisingly tasteful too! If you’re wanting to get away from the busy area of the villages, I would recommend coming here. We forgot the persons name who conducted our wine tasting but he was extremely informed and kind
  • The experience was amazing at this great place. The sommelier Niki made sure to turn our visit into an even more exciting experience by presenting the wines we chose in a very explanatory manner as well as solving even our last question. I highly recommend it!
