Create an itinerary including The Windmills (Kato Milli)
The Windmills (Kato Milli) are the first thing approaching ships see on arrival to Mykonos. Many of the windmills were constructed by the Venetians in the 16th century. From the time they were built until the mid-20th century, these structures fueled the local economy by grinding wheat. Although the mills' grinding days are over, they remain much loved by the locals. Just below this spot you'll find cafes and restaurants that serve local fare where you can admire a view of the windmills and the sea. Although you cannot enter the windmills, you can approach them for photographs. • If you’re in Mykonos you must visit this area. It’s absolutely beautiful and great for photos. There’s also a fabulous gift shop near by what has reasonable price items.

  • Beautiful 16th century windmills which have become a symbol of the beautiful island of Mykonos. Love how they are amongst the first building you see as you get a ferry into the islands
  • Once in Mykonos you have to visit this point if interest. There's much more than you see, because in the past the windmills were an important asset fir the local economy.
