Botanical Park & Gardens Of Crete
Explore the natural world on the isle of Crete at Botanical Park & Gardens Of Crete, where ornamental plants and fruit trees flourish alongside local flora. The dry air and bright sun provide a climate for many varieties of growth, and trails break through the greenery and weave under citrus trees and flowering plants. Events in the open-air amphitheater include concerts, tastings, folk music, and dancing. A small fee grants you access to the oasis of fruit-bearing trees and multi-colored flowers, but you can visit the on-site restaurant without a ticket to the gardens. Put Botanical Park & Gardens Of Crete at the forefront of your travel plans using our Fournes trip maker site.

The restaurant here is one of the best I’ve been to on Crete! They use fresh produce from the garden and traditional methods of cooking over the fire. So good! The park is beautiful too. Well worth a visit to spend time in nature and learn about plants. And the gift shop is great as well for local products, cookbooks, and more.

Entrance was 6€ for adults. We got a bottle of water included in the price.. The 2,5km path around has lot of climbing and descending. You can skip the lowest part cutting the distance to 1,3km which was good on a hot day. Lots of tropical fruits and plants with some lizards and songbirds made the visit worth while. There is a restaurant where you can dine and purchase local products like wines, honey, oils etc.Taking a longer western route back to the coast took us through some pretty small villages on top of the hills.
