  • Excellent visit to these gardens. Some amazing views as well as all of the different fruits the trees and bushes bear from across the world. This was about 4k in total but takes a while if like us...

  • Very different setting for a botanical garden! The entrance is perched at the top of a rocky outcrop and they've successfully managed to design a steep descending garden and it's not so steep incline on the other side of the ravine. Paths are rough and steep in places with not much to hold on to if you aren't fit or able! The abundance of interesting flora and citrus fruits are worth going to see. The reward at the end is a superb restaurant with excellent food. A bit too early in the year to see it at its best.
  • The botanical park was a special treat while visiting Crete! The staff of the park were very welcoming, and the host did a great job explaining the Crete culture, food, and use of olive oil. We got to walk half of the garden, which took about an hour. If you visit, definitely wear comfortable walking shoes and bring water to stay hydrated as the garden has a lot of up and down slopes. The garden featured so many different plants and fruits, and there were even beautiful peacocks roaming around the grounds. The best feature of the park is the view of the beautiful hills and mountains of Crete from the restaurant!
