Admire the private collection of Nicholas and Dolly Goulandris at Museum of Cycladic Art, housed inside a neoclassical mansion. The collection of Cycladic art (works from an ancient civilization that once existed on Aegean Islands) includes pottery, ceramics, art, sculpture, and jewelry. The one-of-a-kind galleries, once the private rooms of the Goulandris, are accessible throughout the year and a popular stop on a tour of Athens. Visit the museum's website to learn about temporary exhibits. Plan my trip to Athens with suggested itineraries provided by Inspirock.

Museum of Cycladic Art reviews
We came back to this great museum since it is so sweet. Full of classic art from the islands with great displays. And the cafe is terrific. Nice architecture.

Superbly organized museum. The lights are dimmed, which gives perfect photos. Taking photos is permitted on four floors. It is forbidden to take pics, only of the new, temporary exhibition on the ground floor. The museum is worth the visit.
I love this museum so much. The collection is beautifully arranged, there is loads of interesting info and you will walk away feeling like you understand a lot about the Ancient Greek lifestyle and how fashions changed though the ages. The museum cafe is also fantastic - great coffee and an amazing space. And of course a lovely museum bookshop with a selection of interesting texts.
