Absolutely one of the best places to stop while in town! They have all of the water lilies by Monet and it was not crowded at all! It is right down the street from the Louvre and you have to stop in. The water lilies have been there for over 100 years and the rooms they are displayed in were designed to specifically hold them. There are 2 egg shaped rooms with 4 massive paintings in each, very very beautiful!

Set in the Tuileries gardens, it houses paintings, sculptures, etc. from many artists. The main reason for our visit was to see the huge paintings by Monet, which are displayed in specially designed rooms. Each painting is made up of several large canvases and create breath taking paintings. You can sit in the centre of the room and take in the paintings, it is worth it. Photos are allowed in most areas of the gallery and you are not under any time pressure. There is a small cafe area , toilet facilities. Well worth a visit.
