The Château de Sauvan is an 18th-century French manor located in the commune of Mane, near Forcalquier in the Department Alpes-de-Haute-Provence in France. The gardens of the chateau are classified as one of the Remarkable Gardens of France by the French Ministry of Culture.

Privately owned, and classified as a French historical monument since 1957, the Château de Sauvan is sometimes called "The Petit Trianon of Provence," because of its resemblance to that building.

Beautiful spot, great building, possibly a great interior but the guide was SO bad and SO long winded I fled after he had told us about the grounds and the first room AND THAT TOOK AN HOUR!!! My wife.... more

Fantastic tour of a gem in the middle of Provence. Claude, the tour guide will give you a great and thorough overview of the castle history (in French only) . Definitely worth a visit !

We had the pleasure of visiting Chateau Sauvan during our trip to see family in August. My wife and I speak fairly limited french but thanks to the translated script available, we got to enjoy the full tour along with all the others. This is a stunning property that has clearly been refurbished with terrific passion and care, it comes across in the detail, the search and reacquisition of its old goods and the enthusiasm of the tour guide. Of you're in the Mane area this is completely worth a visit and will make for a fabulous experience. We look forward to returning the next time we are in the area
