Part of the Five Great Mountains of China, Mount Tai represents a significant cultural and historical hub associated with sunrise, renewal, and rebirth. The tilted fault-block mountain rises up to 1.532 m (5.029 ft) and covers the area of 426 sq km (164 sq mi). Often regarded as a major place of worship for the last 3,000 years, it served as a prominent ceremonial center and was thus listed on the world natural and cultural heritage list. Take one of many routes to explore the natural haven, which shelters peculiar rock formations, bridges, ancient trees, as well as holy temples, squares, and tombs. During your treks, wear comfortable shoes and always carry extra water. A visit to Mount Tai represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Tai'an day trip planning website to plot your vacation.

  • Nice views from the top of the mountain
  • Climbed with my 60 year old dad. It was summer and very hot but managed it. Unfortunately we only saw fog at the top!
