Dating back to the 4th century, Jiming Temple remains among the area's oldest and most active Buddhist temples. This easily accessible temple has changed many rulers through the ages; today, it houses more than 30 nuns, and receives numerous pilgrims and tourists year-round. Impressive stone lions guard the entrance gate of the temple, featuring a 45 m (148 ft) pagoda. See the well in which an emperor used to hide with his concubine, and climb the seven-story pagoda to observe Nanjing's panorama. • Not a must-see, but it leads into the city wall and can make for a nice day. The temple seems fairly new and it's only 10 RMB.

  • Decent temple, worth the low admission fee of 10 rmb. However unless you’re in Nanjing for more than a few days, it can easily be skipped in favor of the many other sites that are far more interesting. You can see everything in the temple worth seeing in about 20 minutes, unless you like tacky gift shops, in which case there are enough of those to last an hour or so. Definitely worth the trip if you happen to be in Nanjing in mid-late March, as the adjoining road will be full of cherry blossoms and plum blossoms in bloom, which are beautiful. Unfortunately, at this time of year these blossoms are outnumbered only by he Chinese people taking pictures of them
  • Bhudda temple and bhudda centre at a high park close to Nangjin. Interesting to visit, impressive constructions
