My boyfriend and I went in June 2022. We accessed the citadel by walking up onto the edge from the peer next to the Frontenac hotel. We walked up to the entrance and paid to have a guided tour. Our guide, Mr. Champagne, was very fun and friendly. He gave us details about everything at the citadel and was very informative when asking him questions. In their exhibit area, they have old war items that represent different times and battles. The souvenir store is fairly priced and they have beverages and restrooms in case you need it before taking off. It’s a good place to learn about the history of Canada and for those sensitive to the sun, they offer complimentary sunscreen.

Really great tour (we took the military tour). Our guide was friendly and informative. Great explanation of the building and grounds. Really informative about the regiment based there. If you go, don’t miss the regiment museum. Very interesting and I learned some good facts.
