Very nice museum, largely about the history of Montreal and its origins, but sometimes has temporary exhibits of a curious nature. There was a cool one about Vikings when I went, and they had one on Egyptian mummies not long ago. Fun stuff! Oh and don't miss the bilingual multimedia presentation about the history of Montreal. It's beautifully executed! 👌 Pro-tip: Buy your tickets online and you can go to the "fast queue" when entering the museum.

An amazing opportunity to gain a better understanding of Montreal, and Canada's history! This museum is so different from other Canadian museums we've visited in Ottawa and Toronto, as you really get to experience how the world looked over time. There are many interactive components, and it's a great way to experience history! We could have spent all day here.
