Enjoy a relaxing lakeside stroll at Kingston Waterfront. A favorite among locals, the walking paths of the waterfront offer picturesque views of Lake Ontario, with several places to sit and take a moment to simply people-watch or feed the ducks. You’ll find many restaurants along the way, as well as a restored locomotive and a farmer’s market with fresh produce. You can take a boat cruise, or rent a canoe from the waterfront to spend a day on the lake itself. • The waterfront is beautiful and inviting surrounded by history, but you cannot walk along it from one end of the downtown Kingston area to the other without having to detour up and around buildings...

  • Stopped here on my way to Nova Scotia and it was worth the time. Lots of picture perfect scenes and everything you need to spend hours on are within walking distance. We spent about 2 hours here eating lunch and conversing with other travelers. A lot of tours start here and the actual welcome to Kingston center is on the premises. On the stretch by the main road are vendors do you won't go hungry. I'll post pics so you can see the possibilities. Tip : If you want to do the 1000 island tours they start at 1030. Enjoy!
  • Good place for stroll, especially short stay on long drive. On the weekdays the parking is exceptionally cheap .50 $ for 20 minute, many empty spots on William st and ontario st. If its sunny and cold have a seat on benches near wall it is very cozy sitting there and looking into the lake.
