Werribee River Park
A sprawling, manicured estate centered on a large, architecturally ornate and stately home, Werribee River Park offers you a charming view into Australia’s colonial past. Lush gardens, an orchard, as well as an equestrian center and zoo cluster around the Italianate Werribee Mansion, giving the estate a grand, idyllic atmosphere. Construction of the estate began in the mid-1870s, and the Victoria State government in 1973 subsequently purchased it. Great place through which one can walk, cycle, many other activities within the Park Precinct. The River flowed swiftly along its course. A lovely outdoor experience.

Lovely river walk where dogs are welcome. No shade but easy path, nice views. Note, the road to the car park is full of large potholes and requires a lot of manoeuvring to avoid. Not unsafe but not everyone would enjoy this road.
