A location for the 2010 romantic drama "South Solitary," Cape Nelson lighthouse is the picture perfect image of a harrowing white tower at the edge of the sea. The beacon rises above heath covered hills among cottages that offer accommodations. Completed in 1884, the lighthouse is the savior of many a seaman sailing along the coast of Australia. - beautiful place.. - very well maintained - we couldn’t get the paid tour since the booking office was closed.. maybe due to the public holiday (ANZAC day) though it was showing open on Google.. - strongly recommend going to the backside of the lighthouse.. beautiful lookout of the ocean.. (see photos) - heaps of spots for photography - the road taking you to the lighthouse is beautifully surrounded by amazing views of windmills

The day was just stunning. Would definitely recommend going here. There's a small Cafe there too. We didn't purchase anything so I can't say much about it.
