Create an itinerary including Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park
Cuddle up to a koala or hold a python at Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park. At this small sanctuary you can also encounter kangaroos, wombats, dingoes, and a number of colorful birds native to this part of the country. Evening visitors enjoy award-winning guided tours conducted by lantern light. These tours are environmental immersion experiences, during which expert guides take participants on walks through natural bushland. A variety of nocturnal animals, many endangered, can be seen up close once the sun goes down. Take this rare opportunity to experience the incredible natural world of Australia at night, and come into close contact with native wildlife that's just too shy to be seen by daylight. • I came here twice, and each time it was a similar experience. The place is not as big as you'd think, and they don't have a lot of animals, but the ones they have are either rescues or animals only found in Victoria. The highlights of the place are the kangaroos, wallabies, and koalas, as there are plenty of them. Kangaroos are very friendly and come close to people, so you will get the chance to feed them, so buy the food when you book. One is more than enough for two people. The koalas are very cute, and depending on the time of day, you might find them sleeping or walking around. There are plenty of birds walking around the park and swimming. They will follow you for food! The sanctuary holds talks and shows at specific times. The cafe inside sells great burgers and fries! It's a great place for families with kids. Wear boots in winter as the place gets muddy. Get your tickets online. It can take between 1 and 2 hours to complete the experience.
  • Amazing experience! All the wonderful animals are active and super friendly. Very much a close and personal experience with both the animals as well as the guides. Our guide was equally engaging throughout. Great passion and knowledge. Definitely something everyone should do. It's NIGHT and day difference. Thank you!!
