The Australian Motorlife Museum
Established in 1992 by a group of motoring enthusiasts and renamed the Australian Motorlife Museum in 2007, this attraction provides an insight into the history of motoring including vehicles and memorabilia.Use our Wollongong travel route planning website to add The Australian Motorlife Museum and other attractions to your Wollongong vacation plans.
The current collection comprises thousands of antique items and continues to grow at an astonishing rate.
The museum is set inside the stunning Intergal Energy Recreation Park which features a huge picnic area, extensive childrens playground and modern facilities including barbeques.
It is the perfect family destination, located just off the M1 Motorway (Princes Hwy) at Kembla Grange, just 10 minutes south of Wollongong.

Today we had our minds blown by the interesting facts about our rich history of motor vehicles in Australia, from caravans, motorcycles, classic cars, race cars, petrol pumps and not just motor vehicles but lawn mowers, telephones, cameras, and gramophones. I can't reveal too much of the museum history you must have to go and visit it yourself. Thank you Trevor and the team of outstanding volunteers who keep this absolute gem of a museum going and sharing your time, wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm with us. Personally I learnt so much this visit and was truly taken back in the past of colourful nostalgia and how life was back in the day. Highly recommended anyone to come in an spend a whole day with these classics vehicles and the sensational team.

Great collection. Would have been nicer if someone didn't hang over our shoulder the whole time. It's a museum, we didn't ask for a tour guide. Didn't have the chance to read much about the cars because old mate was too busy talking and making us look at things. Not bad if you're looking for a tour guide though.
