Founded by an ex-convict in 1832, Cascade Brewery represents the oldest still-operating brewery in the country. Set against the backdrop of a snowcapped mountain and surrounded by lush gardens, the brewery draws clean water from a nearby cascade for its brewing process. Join a tour to learn all about beer-making, and then reap your rewards with a tasting at the end. Pay attention to the label of the brewery's premium lager, depicting the extinct Tasmanian tiger. Note that you'll have to walk up and down a lot of stairs. Plan my day in Hobart using traveler tips and tourist information provided by Inspirock.

Absolutely fantastic venue for a relaxing and enjoyable lunch. Loved the established gardens for an after lunch walk but really liked the traditional meals and beers. Very refreshing environment...

So laid back. Nice music, fire going, and lovely gardens to go for a (quick) walk in. Servings are good in size. Do the beer sampler, where you try the lager, pale ale, first harvest (?), and stout, all on a paddle for 20 bucks. Otherwise, big beers at good prices. The original brewery building is marvelous to look at in the background, with the mountains and surround all sheltering it from the sun. All in all, if I lived here, I'd be a regular. Do try it!

A good place to hangout. Easy to go if you are in the city area, prices are not super expensive, you can go and park your car, heaps of parking available. The customer service was great, i would recommend this place
