What an interesting place. Easy to walk to from most hotels. It has the usual Coles, fruit and veg plus meat places but unlike say Sydney, which is bigger, there is very little repetition of shops...

I love theses markets . I always make time to go here when I visit Adelaide. Everything is so vibrant and fresh the stall holders are so friendly. You can feel the history in the markets as you walk.... more

Just one of my favorite places in the universe! Every city should have one, sadly they do not. If a visit to Adelaide was missing the Central Market, it would be so very incomplete! Got to have my walk around the fabulous stalls with all the goodies or else I am not complete! Keep on keeping on you beautiful market of magnificence!!

Very good quality fruit and veg at a good price. Can vary between stalls from must be eaten today to will last (price reflects this). Cards only if over $10 otherwise cash. Do check your change. Still good quality produce. Some of the butchers in the mornings are unfriendly.
