One of the smallest Vietnamese islands, Hòn Bà represents a quaint place to visit and see the local way of life and the old buildings, as well as the clean beach. Take a walk around the small village, and you’ll see a couple of charming Buddhist temples, which you can visit and enjoy the atmosphere, the colors, and the traditional architecture. Hon Ba is a small island not far from the sothern tip of Vung Tau beach, it is possible cross to the island by feet. more »

Cute little island... it's very near the shore (in fact it's reachable on foot during low tide!)

The island is more interesting if you observe it from the road that surrounds the Vung Tau peninsula than in fact if you visit it. The way to the island it is only possible at low tide through a very slippery rocks path and once on the island you can go up to the pagoda in the middle of it, where two guys, a sort of guardians, did not allow me to stay or even take a picture and so, you have to return back to the beach over the dangerous rocks path. In fact, just take a picture from the top of the hill and save yourself the fun of visiting it.
