Run by the military of Vietnam, the museum offers an overview of historical and modern machines used in warfare. The show starts in front of the museum where the army equipment including trucks, tanks, radars, and various artillery objects stands; most of the exhibition was given to Vietnam by the USSR. See jet fighters from the 20th century in the hangar including MiG-21, MiG-17, and a huge Mil Mi-6 helicopter. Climb inside of the designated airplanes to feel the history in a unique way. Interesting museum and second floor emphasizes Viet Nam's air force efforts in space, etc. I was one of two people visiting, and it's a bit far from the old quarter - unless you're really interested..... more »

Very interesting. Contains some very rare aircraft. Easy to walk around. Used hotel taxi to get there as traffic is manic at times !! 30,000vnd each entrance fee plus another 5000vnd to take photos. Toilets in main building. Well worth an hour or two if like me,did it as part of an aviation musem tour of Hanoi.

Very interesting. Many of the descriptions are in Vietnamese only, but a translator app will do wonders. Amazing how many old aircraft are on display. The inside of the museum is very nice as well.
