A prominent 19th-century landmark, Hanoi Flag Tower stands as the most recognizable feature of the city's World Heritage Site, the Hanoi Citadel. King Gia oversaw the building of this tower between 1805 and 1812. It is an iconic attraction because it is one of the only structures in the city that wasn't destroyed in the late 19th-century French invasion. The flag at the top of this attraction stands at 41 m (134 ft) high. When you visit the site, you can climb stairs to the top of the tower and take in views of the city. This is a site with lots and lots of history about this wonderful country called Vietnam. Be prepared to spend 2 hours at a minimum. Wet Kids friendly and lots to see. There is a nominal entry fee but it’s all worth it. Don’t miss.

Symbol of the city hanoi. There is not too much in side you can see just walking away from the sidewalk. You can climb up and visit military museum if you like and if you have too much time. It's located in middle of the museums and tourist attractions spots.
