Built in 1889, Dong Xuan Market serves as the biggest covered market in the city. Located in the center of the city's Old Town, this market traces its roots back to a French administration. Though it was destroyed in a fire in 1994, it has since been completely rebuilt. Today it stands as a popular place for local retailers to buy wholesale items and for tourists to explore food and artisanal items. As you walk through the stalls, you will discover local cuisine, fashions, household goods, electronics, and even plants. Do not waste your time coming here or your money. There is nothing to see, it’s just a big filthy market. The vendors are rude. They are miserable people that hate tourists. They mostly sell things... more »

Not to be confused with Don Juan. This market is.good for an experience. If you are closterphobic you might want to miss it. I'm not sure if the deals here are any better than anywhere else, but it looks like an episode of hoarders.

Though it’s a very big market and very famous, honestly I didn’t like this place. Reasons why I didn’t like it are , people here were busy in packing stuff may be for whole sale but i just asked the price of a footwear and i was asked to move on without saying anything else. Market was messy a lot of things werr thrown all around.
