Crescent Beach features cool sand and calm waters. To reach this beach just outside Sarasota, you can take shuttles from the surrounding areas. Because of the distance from town, the beach is rarely crowded. The beach is 3.2 km (2 mi) long and quite wide, so you'll have plenty of space for lounging, playing frisbee, flying a kite, or searching for sand dollars. Note that Crescent Beach is often confused with the nearby Siesta Key Beach, which is less remote. Bring along a towel, umbrella, and drinking water to avoid the long walk to the shops near Siesta Key Beach. Probably our favorite beach on Siesta. There’s no public parking on the southern end so you have to know an owner to get close to Point of Rocks.

Beautiful beach free parking great place to see the sunset. I've been to a lot of beaches in Florida this one is right up there among the top.
