Queen's Bath, Princeville

4.2
Geologic Formation · Nature / Park
Bathe in the crystal clear waters and take in views of the Pacific Ocean at Queen's Bath. Access this natural tide pool via a short trail. You'll discover abundant sea life including urchins, angelfish, and local ghost fish. The collapse of a lava tube shaped the pool and natural springs filled it with water. Natives considered the pool sacred in ancient times. Be aware that when wave activity is violent (usually in winter) the tide pool can be dangerous. • Queens bath was a good hike. A little challenging down a steep hill with roots across the path. Definitely wear shoes not sandals. Views are gorgeous! The natural bathes were very cool. Another great day I Kauai!
  • This place is amazing! The best time to go there is probably early in the morning. There are only about 10 parking spots and parking in the area around it is forbidden. The hike down is quite something. It’s absolutely beautiful, but wear decent shoes. Bringing small children is not a good idea! After the hike down (10 minutes) you also have to walk/jump across all these rocks. Cool, but please be careful and don’t go too close to the edge! The view is gorgeous and the hike down is absolutely worth it!
