History, nature, and helpful park rangers. I highly recommend bringing the whole family to come see this park. They have paths to walk on that will lead you through a historical Wonderland that you won't forget. You can enjoy the nature and history as you see the battlefield, as well as the cemetery. And when you're done walking trails, you can cool off in the Amazing air conditioned Museum and Gift Shop areas. Bathrooms are very clean and well-kept and the staff are so nice, showing true southern hospitality as you enjoy a historical event.

Stones River National Battlefield is a great place to go if you live in or are visiting the area. The grounds are always clean and neat. There are many markers that explain the battlefield's role in Civil War history and there is a museum with artifacts and stories about the war. There are also nice hiking trails that are good for walks with the family. It is a good place to bike, run, or walk. If you come early or late in the day you will probably see some wildlife so be sure to bring your camera.
