Hills and Dales Estate is the home built for textile magnate Fuller E. Callaway and his wife Ida Cason Callaway completed in 1916 in Lagrange, Georgia. The property includes the pre-Civil War Ferrell Gardens started by Nancy Ferrell in 1832 and expanded by her daughter Sarah Coleman Ferrell beginning in 1841.

    It was a great place to see, but it happened to be a rainy day. The pretty women was nice to us and got ‘rain check’ in our tickets. We were told we can visit again without re-admission, with same old tickets. Waiting for the fine day to see the entire area.

    We loved our tour of this beautifully built home. The attention to detail and thought that went into the home as well as the gardens is amazing. The movie at the visitor center is lovely and speaks about the women and how the gardens started and we're maintained. Rose gave us the house tour which took about an hour and very interesting. If I lived in the area I would definitely go back several times as I was quite enchanted by both the grounds and the home. Definitely a must see if you are a romantic, enjoy beautiful gardens and craftsmanship of old homes.
