I went in on a whim as I love stringed instruments. The owner found me browsing and looking at an old and very beat up, badly varnished guitar that had belonged to a "dancer" but which was made in Brazil and looked as if it had some nice wood in it. He offered it free if I bought a case! My wife said that I could buy it if it was less than $50 so he let me have it for $49 and I hand carried it home to VT. I then had it restored in Lima, Peru where I have a friendly luthier and now I have a lovely parlor guitar that sounds really sweet. Thanks to this really nice guy and a random stop.

This is a really great little shop, with a huge range of ukuleles starting at about $100 and going up from there. No touristy crap here- these are high quality instruments, and the shop owner really knows his stuff. They have other stringed instruments here too, and I was impressed by the range and number of instruments, and accessories. This is a great place to spend some time and some cash. Highly recommended!
