New York Botanical Garden nurtures 50 different gardens and thousands of different plant species over more than 100 hectares (250 acres). Founded in 1891 and on the National Register of Historic Places, the gardens today represent one of New York's premier tourist attractions. You can wander through the herbarium, rock garden, an ornate vintage greenhouse, and even a research library containing more than half a million volumes. Don't miss what is perhaps one of the site's most notable sections: 20 hectares (50 acres) of original old-growth forest along the Bronx River, dating from before the European colonization of North America. Check the garden's schedule of events for information on temporary exhibits and special offers. Use Inspirock's suggestions to plan your Bronx trip and find the best activities and attractions for your vacation.

New York Botanical Garden reviews
Mart ayında gittik, çok da beğenmedim. Bakımsız idi. Verdiğimiz paraya değmedi. Önermiyorum. İ do not advise this place for tourists. If u wanna throw ur money to garbage of course u can go there. more »
Good place to check out some plants. I rate a 3 because this place was smaller than expected. Other than that, pretty cool. more »
It was a spur of the moment decision to make the trip to the Bronx botanical garden, and we had a fantastic time. The place is absolutely beautiful and so well designed and organized. There's something there for everyone of all ages. We specifically went to see the Marx exhibit and we only spent 3 or 4 hours but easily you can spend the entire day there. We ate a delicious dinner at their Hudson Garden Grill....a beautiful restaurant, very attentive waitstaff, and delicious food
Beautiful grounds. Loved walking through and enjoying nature. Recommend that you walk through the park, it's easy if you're able to sustain walking for an hour or so. Appreciate that all the amenities are so environmentally friendly. Loved the sights and smells of the rose garden!
