  • Beautiful tranquil gardens and ruins. Picturesque location. Everything to allow for a relaxing couple of hours. Good playground for children. Very good cake in the cafe. Staff everywhere were helpful and extremely pleasant. If visiting the lovely city of Wells put this high on your list of places to see.
  • A lovely garden to visit in a significant historic setting. We liked the temporary sculpture installations in the garden as well as the artwork in the palace. Take time to watch the short video in the palace entrance that shows the development of the site. There is a nice cafe that uses local produce too.
