Wend your way through quintessential English countryside along Warden's Way. The 22 km (14 mi) walking route runs between Bourton-on-the-water and Winchcombe. On your way, you'll go through a scenic section of woods, and pass a 15th-century castle with charming gardens, a small river, old mill, and stone church. The path is well marked and maintained on the whole. Stop in Lower Slaughter or Bourton for a cup of tea.   • We visited here as part of a day tour of the Cotswold. The Slaughters, upper and lower are absolutely beautiful. The issue is the lack of parking, double yellow lines everywhere. We spent less than...  more »
  • Very enjoyable walk. We walked from the lower to the upper slaughter through the road and then found the wardens path, which led us back to the lower slaughter. Come prepared cause it gets very muddy.  more »
