The Museum in the Park is set in Stratford Park in the centre of Stroud, Gloucestershire.

The Museum is housed on two floors in a Grade II 17th century wool merchant's mansion. Objects and colourful displays combined with exciting events combine to celebrate the rich history and heritage of the Stroud District. The modern extension houses temporary exhibitions and visitor facilities.

Entrance is free but donations are encouraged.

We welcome families and children with something to offer visitors of all ages. Whether you are visiting the District or have lived here for many years, you are sure to find something that interests, inspires or amazes you.

We also offer a small gift shop and café within the museum foyer.

    Nice little museum with some very interesting exhibits. The walled garden is pleasant and probably a lot more pleasant on a warm day. The cafe is simple but OK for a coffee and a snack. The highlight....  more »

    Fantastic local history museum with attached art gallery and an amazing contemporary walled garden. Great for families and...well anyone really! Has a small cafe and delightful shop. Highly recommended.

    Awesome museum, free!! With a donation if you feel like it. Great Laurie Exhibition (a relation of mine!) and dinosaurs, fossils and so many other great things. The walled garden is lovely. Highly recommended
