Totally transformed after the 1980s storms by Nicky & Ewen Macpherson, it is now a painter's garden, designed to frame the magnificent views of Skye and the surrounding hills. Waterfalls, Monet bridges, meconopsis, bamboo & candelabra primula are reflected in dark pools. Sculpture lurks in unexpected places.

Lovely gardens. We visited in heavy rain and it was very atmospheric with the water cascading down the cliffs. Only a small place. Just big enough for a couple of hours. lots of sculptures to spot and a nice kitchen garden too.
We stopped here whilst on a visit to Skye and were surprised by the gardens , the whole visit started really well with the young Lady on the entrance being really pleasant and explaining all about the gardens, how old the house was and what to look out for. The gardens are full of sculptures which are spread throughout and we made a bit of a game of finding them. There are facilities on site and also a little DIY cafe with sandwiches,Tea and Coffee available.
