The Queen's Gallery is a public art gallery at Buckingham Palace, home of the British monarch, in London. It exhibits works of art from the Royal Collection (those works owned by the King or Queen "in trust for the nation" rather than privately) on a rotating basis; about 450 works are on display at any one time.Plan to visit The Queen's Gallery and other customer-reviewed, writer-recommended London attractions using our London tour itinerary planning tool.
The gallery is at the west front of the Palace, on the site of a chapel bombed during the Second World War, and first opened in 1962. Over the following 37 years it received 5 million visitors, until it was closed in 1999–2002 for extension work carried out by John Simpson. On 21 May 2002, the gallery was reopened by Elizabeth II to coincide with her Golden Jubilee. The extension added the current Doric entrance portico and several new rooms, more than tripling the size of the building. It is open to the public for much of the year.

We came again to see the fabulous George IV exhibition. The objects on display are outstanding and all have a direct connection to the King. Allow at least 2 hours for a good look. Now is the perfect.... more »

An entirely appropriate title for an exhibition of great art collected by a King who liked to make a spectacle of himself. Thus it is the portrait of the King in his coronation robes by Sir Thomas... more »

I'm not sure I was in the Queen's gallery in. Somehow I was in Buckingham palace but there's nothing really to do there. I was in the gallery of the Trafalgar square. It is way more interesting. I'm not sure who have you ever go into the Queen's Buckingham palace. Maybe only Queens fans. If you visiting London UK please find more interesting place to spend your time in. Regards.

Wonderful experience! Efficiently managed large number of visitors. friendly & courteous. Very informative and fascinating. Loved being able to walk in the gardens and take a royal cup of tea! The shop is extremely tempting too! Lovely to think my ticket lasts for a year... I will be back
