Royal Albert Dock Liverpool is among the country's most architecturally and historically significant collections of buildings, and houses Liverpool's most exciting attractions. It opened in 1846 as Britain's first structure built from cast iron, brick, and stone, and was the world's first fireproof construction. Start in the Beatles Story exhibit, where you'll learn all about the four Liverpudlians and their incredible impact on modern music. View some of the most acclaimed British and international contemporary art exhibits at the Tate Liverpool. Head into Mersey Maritime Museum to discover Liverpool's maritime heritage, and study ancient and modern slavery in the International Slavery Museum. You'll also find a large selection of cafes, restaurants, and shops among the buildings' grand colonnades. Some of the museums have an entrance fee, but a stroll around the complex is free. We went on the floating Grace river canal cruise. It was magical. Staff were amazing funny and warm and welcoming. We has a 3 course meal.and it was delicious. The service could not of been better. Every plate cleared. Full recommended. It was part of my birthday treat and I loved it. Fully recommended

Nice place to walk around and lots to see. Plenty of places all along to stop and have a drink, snack, or a nice sit down dinner. Very easy to spend 5-6 hours walking all around this area and up near city centre. Taxi's, buses, hotels, all within easy reach. I'd only recommend going when it is a bit warmer than late January.
