It’s often said jokingly that to understand Liverpool you must first understand its music and its football (soccer). Well Anfield Stadium boasts an iconic, almost spiritual place that enables you to fully appreciate the latter. The stadium--which serves as the home of Liverpool Football Club--has been around since 1884, and it’s not an understatement to say that it has become one of city’s most famous buildings; to step into Anfield is to step into the metaphorical heart of half the city’s football fans. Few experiences in sport match the spectacle of the Liverpool faithful singing "You'll Never Walk Alone" (from the 1945 Rodgers and Hammerstein musical "Carousel") in unison to greet their team.     The spiritual and actual homeland of Liverpool Football Club, the greatest team to ever walk the earth. The beer tastes better, the seats are comfier, the grass is greener - everything is just better when you're at Anfield. Obviously Google should go up to 6 stars...

    I'm a Liverpool fan so this is definitely a biased review! We did the stadium tour, which was OK. There's some interesting stuff around the ground such as memorials, and it's a really impressive structure. The club shop was great.
