  • Wonderful museum with some quirky exhibits showcasing the history of local pencil making. Definitely worth a visit to see the world’s largest coloured pencil too!

  • This is a small museum on the former manufacturing site. Manufacturing moved a bout 20 years ago as The Lakes National Park would not grant planning permission to up date the old factory. Very...

  • It was the drive through covid testing station. Team were professional and safe. I tested positive if you are interested.
  • This was so good. I went with an idea ot was going to be a bit pish, but actually, in a very nerdy way, really loved it. Who knew at one point graphite was worth more than gold and that 'the black market' stems from people smuggling graphite and never being quite able to wash it from their hands. Was really good, for those with a geeky nature.
