The park serves as a sanctuary for many rare bird species, including the bearded tit, bittern, and Cetti’s warbler. Part of a larger conservation project that aims to restore natural habitats, the reserve's marshes and abundant ponds also provide homes for water voles and otters. Although entrance is free, the reserve sustains itself with donations from visitors. Bring your binoculars and dress warmly for cold evenings and mornings.
