If you visit between March and October, listen to the costumed guides' stories of the monks who once resided here and legends of the Abbey's association with King Arthur's Court. Head into the visitors' center for historical interpretation of the site and enjoy the 14.6 hectares (36 acres) of parkland surrounding the ruins.     Lovely grounds, very peaceful but very expensive for what it is. I've seen larger, intact beautiful historic buildings that were cheaper to view so maybe a consideration of the price would get more...  more »

    Surprised at these ruins. Great to read the history. Almost felt a chill at one point. Certainly worth a visit for historical purposes. As this is a historical site not much for children. Personally i like it. Lovely view of the Tor as well.

    Such a lovely place to visit. This was my first time here and it was absolutely wonderful! I particularly enjoyed the tour around the grounds, with stories about how it would have looked in the past. Awesome woman leading the tour, I know I wasn't alone in how engaging and intriguing I found it, to listen to her. The atmosphere was astounding. And we were blessed with such lovely weather on the day too. Looking forward to visiting again soon!
