Responsible for educating some of Scotland's leading contemporary artists, The Glasgow School of Art is also listed as one of the top-ten architecture schools in the world. Appropriately, the school's campus is an architectural marvel, which visitors tour at an appointed time with a guide. The campus' central building, the Mackintosh, is the only building open to the public and houses a gallery that exhibits renowned contemporary artwork. Also known as the Mackintosh Museum, it is one of Glasgow's most popular cultural sites. • The Glasgow School of Art! What a stunning building which was designed by the famous architect mackintosh. What a great historical building with very knowledgeable and convivial students. Please remember you can walk into almost any gallery/museum in Scotland for free. The fact that is a CRM design and probably his greatest work, should resonate with all Glaswegians he brought in countless millions of pounds to the city and country in tourism since his passing.
  • Beautiful building. Hope to see it back to its best ASAP. I was lucky to visit here before it’s first fire and it really is a sensational building inside and out. Such a massive piece of history for Glasgow and the world. It’s a must visit for anyone visiting Glasgow once it’s back to it proper state.
