With a violent poltergeist, history of body snatchers, and tombstones that gave JK Rowling inspiration for some of her famous book characters, Greyfriars Kirkyard attracts a constant stream of ghost hunters and Harry Potter fans. Nestled in the heart of Edinburgh's Old Town, the graveyard has been there since the late 16th century. Take a guided walking tour to learn some of its mysteries. Don't miss the graveyard's most famous resident of all, Greyfriar's Bobby, a loyal dog that had guarded its master's grave for 14 years. The bronze statue of the faithful Skye terrier now watches over the cemetery from outside the grounds. Greyfriars Kirkyard reviews

A beautiful graveyard! The whole scary history is super interesting and it makes a cool and scary atmosphere. The whole graveyard is very clean, beautiful and stunning. All the tomb stones are super pretty. I love the fact that there’s a lot of green, plants there. To be honest I only came there to find the Tom stone where the famous Tom Riddle ( in real Tom Riddell) hidden is, but I found also a lot of other super cool things. Q: I found there a tomb stone of John Watson and has it and connection with the famous “Sherlock Holmes”?
Loved this whole experience! A truly heartwarming story wrapped up in a beautiful historical sight. Never would I have thought a graveyard could be so much fun and informative!! Highly recommend to all!
