Boer War Memorial commemorates regulars and volunteers who gave their lives in the South African War. Surrounded by flower beds, the brass statue on a marble-white plinth represents a soldier leaning on a rifle. The front side of the plinth is inscribed with names of fallen soldiers, while the sides bare the names of those who served in the war.   • Like all things in Cheltenham, it's small and neglected. I think the council don't think they have to do anything because people come to Cheltenham anyway. Could be so much better.  more »
  • Almost human and so exquisitely sculptured. Superb and shouldn’t be missed. Quite moving in itself. Peaceful  more »
  • Many names from the two World Wars, as well as a few from other conflicts. Also a stone to acknowledge Polish losses.
  • Large memorial to the fallen in several campaigns, including Polish soldiers.
