Over 800 years old, St Mary Redcliffe Church is an Anglican parish church and a masterpiece of Gothic architecture. It is also the second-largest parish church in England and the tallest building in Bristol. Guided tours are offered here, and you are welcome to attend services as well. Keep an eye out for several characteristics of the grand building. The floor plan of is a slender Latin cross, and the walls consist almost entirely of large, stained-glass windows, providing plenty of natural light, and the nave is roofed with gilded ribs and roof bosses. An on-site cafe offers coffee, tea, and snacks. There is also a small gift shop available where you can buy CDs and books.
