  Popped to Perry Court and had the most delicious homemade Leek & Potato Soup, very tasty. Followed by cake. Simply delicious and good value. Will def be going again.  more »

  Although the shop was well-stocked, we were disappointed by the amount of non-local items. (What is the point of paying extra for the identical biscuits that Sainsbury's sell?) The apples were soft, though very juicy (presumably the supermarkets are given the lovely crisp ones?) But the most disappointing thing was the ham. What is the point of visiting a local farm shop, hoping to support our fantastic British farmers, only to discover that the pork is sourced from the EU! Having said all that, the service was good and the cheese (reputedly made on site) was excellent.

  The two very efficient young ladies who served me yesterday with a soya latte and gluten-free almond cake, (both delicious), could not have been more helpful. It's a delightful place to stop on the Pilgrim's Way and thoroughly recommended. Why can't more cafes be this welcoming?
