Trunk Bay Beach
Watch the crystalline water gently whirling around cliffs and crags, lapping the soft coral sands of one of the most pristine beaches in the Caribbean at Trunk Bay Beach. Rent snorkel gear and discover colorful sea life along the underwater trail of reefs. The inviting, warm waters are perfect for underwater photography enthusiasts. When you have had enough of swimming and basking in the tropical sun, cool off with a frozen cocktail or dine at one of the romantic restaurants. The shade of the national park hides many hiking trails for you to explore. Look for the ruins of historic sugar plantations, remnants of the colonial past. Note that the beach gets overcrowded sometimes. Put Trunk Bay Beach on your schedule, and learn what else deserves a visit by using our Virgin Islands National Park tour itinerary planner.

We arrived pretty early to Trunk Bay. Make sure to get there early as there isn’t a lot of parking. It does cost $5 per person but it’s well worth it. There is food and drinks available to buy. It’s..... more »

One of my favorite beaches in the Caribbean. I love that there is snorkeling offered here. It adds an extra activity that makes this beach enjoyable for the entire family. Beware - if the tide is too strong, snorkeling will be closed. Find out ahead of time if snorkeling is allowed the day you are going. This is a public beach and there is a fee to enter. $5.00 per person when we were there. The tide was high and snorkeling was not allowed, members of my group were disappointed, but the beach is still worth the trip, even without snorkeling.

Beautiful wide beach with lots of nooks and crannies to nestle into. Has restrooms and showers as well as a food truck. The structures that were there initially were wiped out with the hurricane in 2017 but they are working on it to get it back up to speed. Very nice, very quiet a lovely Beach to spend the day at. Trunk Bay is a wonderful place to spend the day enjoying the warm water and sunshine.
